Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to lead a team focused on building AI-native systems, with a strong emphasis on execution, continuous delivery, and team growth.
This role is critical to building an AI-driven engineering organization, where leadership is measured not by individual coding output, but by the ability to guide teams, ensure results, and foster sustainable practices in highly dynamic environments.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader with exceptional communication skills, capable of supporting their team in adopting AI-driven tools and workflows while maintaining high standards of quality, clarity, and reliability.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Execution
Lead a high-impact engineering team, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery.
Ensure projects move from idea to production in a predictable and efficient way.
Drive accountability, execution, and team goal alignment.
Mentorship and Team Development
Mentor engineers in their technical and professional growth.
Guide the adoption of AI-driven development tools and practices.
Foster trust, autonomy, and continuous improvement within the team.
AI-Driven Systems Adoption
Enable the implementation of AI-native practices in production environments.
Ensure responsible use of AI tools without compromising quality or clarity.
Help the team navigate evolving development paradigms in a changing landscape.
Communication and Collaboration
Clearly communicate priorities, expectations, and progress.
Remove blockers and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with local teams (especially Operations).
Act as a bridge between engineering and other business areas.
Technical Direction and Decision-Making
Guide high-level technical decisions.
Evaluate trade-offs and support key decision-making.
Operate effectively in ambiguous environments with incomplete information.
Technical Requirements
Experience
5+ years of experience working in or with software engineering teams.
Experience leading teams, projects, or initiatives (formally or informally).
Proven track record of successful project delivery.
Technical Background
Strong technical foundation in software systems.
Ability to understand, discuss, and reason about architecture and systems.
Experience or familiarity with backend/web stacks (Python, Ruby, or similar).
Experience reviewing technical designs and making informed decisions.
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or systems.
